I am renting to a tenant who has Section 8 Assistance ...

I am renting to a tenant who has Section 8 Assistance and she is the only one to live there. She has had several people stay with her for 2 to 3 weeks at a time, and the one currently there has a drug history. Am I able to tell her that her guest can't stay ther?

Ok, and you also have a PHA lease that you are bound to. You can in writing inform the party that they are in viloation of the rental lease and may be subject to loosing their Sectio 8 assistance. I would also contact your Local Housing Authority that you have a signed lease with to inform them of the situation. It appears they have others living there with them full time. Guest are expected from time to time. But for weeks at a time and with drug history there presents the problem. You can ask them to vacate. Role of the Tenant:

When a family selects a housing unit, and the PHA approves the unit and lease, the family signs a lease with the landlord for at least one year. The tenant may be required to pay a security deposit to the landlord. After the first year the landlord may initiate a new lease or allow the family to remain in the unit on a month-to-month lease.

When the family is settled in a new home, the family is expected to comply with the lease and program requirements, pay its rent share on time, maintain the unit in good condition and notify the PHA of any changes in income or family composition.
